The International Conference on Instrumentation, Control and Automation(ICA) is an event held in East Asia Region since 1988. ICA2009 offers researchers, engineers and professionals in this region and world wide with excellent opportunities to get together and to exchange their findings and views in Bandung, Indonesia known as Parijs van Java (Paris of Java) and Asia-Africa Summit. The criteria are high technical quality and a good presentation of the papers. The finalists are informed with notification of acceptance. The winners are decided by a selection committee and awarded at the closing ceremony. Eligible authors wishing to be considered for this prize should indicate when they submit contributions.

Submissions Authors are invited to submit full paper to secretariat electronically.
All material must be written in English, and a paper submitted only if you intend to attend the conference. The full paper should include the title, name(s) of the author(s), mailing address, affiliation, telephone and fax numbers, e-mail address wherever possible. One registration is eligible for two papers. Accepted papers will be included in the conference proceeding. The CIMeC-Center for Mind/Brain Sciences at the University of Trento is accepting applications for a 3-year PhD Program in Cognitive and Brain Sciences. The program seeks to provide students with high level skills in basic and applied research in cognitive neuroscience, and will encourage them to pursue innovative research projects that require expertise in multiple areas. The program has two main areas within which research can be conducted using behavioural, neuroimaging and computational methods:

Centre for Public Health Research, University of Salford

The Centre for Public Health Research at the University of Salford will provide two scholarship awards to well-qualified applicants to the MSc Public Health programme for the September 2009 entry. These scholarships cover tuition fees for either home (UK/EU) students or international students for the whole duration of the programme. Travel and living costs are not covered in this scholarships.

Belgium Scholarship Various Programs

Every year, with the support of the Belgian Directorate-General for Development Cooperation (DGDC), VLIR-UOS awards scholarships to students from developing countries to study one of the 15 International Course Programmes (ICPs) or one of the 6 International Training Programmes (ITPs). The ICPs and ITPs target people from the South with a responsible position in civil society (at a university, school, NGO, ministry, etc).

Each year there are a maximum of 180 scholarships available for first-year ICP students and a maximum of 70 scholarships for ITP participants.
